Blogging and Podcasting projects in the REP?!
Early this morning, I finished writing the About Progressive Persuasion page, noting
Progressive Persuasion is about building a community of progressives, liberals, and like-minded left-wingers who are interested in improving their persuasive skills, through blogging, podcasting, public speaking, etc.
After I shut down the computer for the night, I picked up the most recent (March 2016) copy of the Toastmaster magazine, because someone on Facebook had pointed out that this month’s magazine included a review of the new Revitalized Education Program (a.k.a. REP).
Like many other Toastmasters members, I’ve been hearing bits and pieces about the REP for some time now, but it’s been a tiny trickle of information. The article, An Education Program for the Future, has some new details, including two that caught my eye:
Blogs and Podcasts
A number of REP projects teach methods of communication that are increasingly popular around the world — methods that might be new to many members. One such project is “Write a Compelling Blog.”
…
Another member said the “Create an Engaging Podcast” project was enlightening.
Apparently I’m ahead of the curve when it comes to creating a new blog to go with my new Toastmasters club.
